Heat Exchangers

VoltAire’s heat exchangers come in two air-to-air closed loop series: HIX (Cross Flow) and HTC (Counter Flow), both featuring coated aluminum cores for efficient thermal transfer. Built for outdoor telecom and industrial applications, all models are UL Type 4 rated, with optional Type 4X. The HTC series delivers up to 25% greater heat transfer than cross flow models, thanks to its rifled tubular air paths.

Cross Flow units offer 18W/F to 55W/F capacities in 48VDC and select 115/230VAC options, while Counter Flow units range from 15W/F to 90W/F in 48VDC. Custom configurations are available. 48VDC models include speed modulation; 115/230VAC units offer optional on/off control. All models meet ANSI 1995, UL Type 4(X), and GR-487 standards.

Series HIX: Cross Flow
HIX Series heat exchangers are designed for use in industrial applications. They may be provided with epoxy-coated cores or other corrosion protective options, such as stainless steel.

Series HTC: Counter Flow
VoltAire Systems HTC Series Counter Flow Heat Exchangers are designed to remove heat from cabinets that have sensitive electronics or telecommunications equipment. All of our heat exchangers are closed loop cooling, ensuring an interior cabinet environment free of dust and humidity.
